Spring 2016

Amazing Race

Feeling stressed? Unhealthy? Bored? CSA and CPU collaborated for a combined Amazing Race event. Like the televised Amazing Race, contestants worked in teams to run around and frolic through campus buildings to search for clues. The reward? Losing weight and having fun, but also free pizza to gain back that weight.

EAU Night Market

The EAU Night Market is a semesterly event where many student cultural organizations come together to prepare delicious food from their home countries and to put together cultural performances.

Second General Meeting

CSA's second general meeting featured a wonderful presentation on the history and origin of dumplings, as well as a dumpling-eating competition where contestants had to guess the contents of the dumplings. Yum!

Iron Chef

"Allez cuisine!" CSA officers are divided into four groups. Each group is assigned a different theme (Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter) and face off against each other in a frenetic culinary battle. A panel of judges tastes each dish and awards each group with titles for creativity and taste.

Hotpot Social

CSA has a "hot" way to kick off the semester with a hot pot dinner at Hot Pot House. What a yummy adventure and a perfect way to meet new people!

Lunar New Year Banquet

CSA hosted its Fourth Annual Lunar New Year Banquet on Saturday, February 6th, from 6 to 9PM. Our largest event of the year featured performances from VSA, Cal Taiko, Cal Wushu, Phoenix Symphony, Carmen Kassidi Yau, and Elisabeth Lu. Of course, no event is perfect without food, so we had catering from Chengdu Style and Lotus House.

First General Meeting

This is our first general meeting of the spring 2016 semester. New members and prospective officers learn more about the club and the events that we plan throughout the semester. After the presentation, we bring out some classic Chinese games such as Dou Di Zhu and Mahjong. It's a great way to start a new semester.
